Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 19, 2026
1. Overview
FedScope is an independent, solo-operated project. This policy explains what limited information we collect and how it is used. We aim to collect as little personal data as possible.
2. Information We Collect
- Email address — if you join the waitlist or create an account.
- Account details — such as organization name, if you provide them.
- Usage data — basic, aggregated analytics (pages viewed, searches run) to improve the product.
- Billing data — handled entirely by our payment processor (Stripe). We never see or store your full card number.
3. How We Use Information
To operate and improve the Service, communicate with you about FedScope (e.g., launch notifications, account or billing matters), and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
4. Third-Party Services
We rely on third-party providers to run the Service, including hosting (Vercel), payments (Stripe), and authentication/database (Supabase). These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy and security terms. The government data we display comes from public sources (USASpending.gov, SAM.gov).
5. Cookies
We use only essential cookies needed for authentication and core functionality, plus privacy-respecting analytics. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
6. Data Retention & Security
We retain personal data only as long as needed to provide the Service or as required by law. We take reasonable measures to protect your data, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, or unsubscribe from emails at any time, by contacting us. We will honor verified requests on a best-effort basis.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
